L: LIQUID (water, or spray or leave-in)

O: OIL (or infused oil)

C: CREAM (butter or whipped cream)

Our tips for keeping your hair hydrated longer!

Does your hair get dry too quickly despite the care you give it? Your hydration method might not be suitable. The LOC method is a hydration routine that consists of layering your products to maximize moisture retention. Indeed, the infused oil and butter or whipped cream will create a protective film on the hair shaft and thus seal in moisture by preventing water from evaporating.

Your hair's porosity must be taken into account

Depending on your hair's porosity, reverse the order of the products. The Liquid Oil Cream method is suitable for people with low porosity as the hair struggles to absorb and retain moisture.

Whereas the Liquid Cream Oil method is better suited for hair with high porosity because it easily absorbs products but cannot retain them.

The 3 steps of applying the L.O.C method:

1 - L:  Spray your hair with water (this is not necessary if you have just shampooed)

2 - O: Apply a thin layer of your favorite infused oil to maintain moisture.

3 - C: Apply your favorite whipped cream or butter to lock in moisture for a long time with a final product richer than the previous ones. The goal is to seal in moisture, reinforce the sheathing by smoothing the cuticle scales. Hair will be softer and shinier.

If your hair is extremely dry, just add the milk/treatment step in addition to the spray in the following way:

1: Hydrating spray (water and macerate)

2: Milk or treatment as a leave-in

3: Whipped cream or butter

or

1: Spray

2: Whipped cream or butter

3: Milk or treatment

PS: Some of our customers have very positive results by adding a few drops of their favorite milk to their spray bottle. Don't hesitate to test it out!

To find out if the LCO or LOC method is right for you, you need to try it for at least 2 weeks.
