Our tips for keeping your hair moisturized longer!
Is your hair becoming dry again too quickly, despite the care you give it? It could be that your moisturizing method isn't right for you. The LOC method is a moisturizing routine that involves layering your products to maximize moisture retention. In fact oily macerate and butter or chantilly will create a protective film on the hair shaft, sealing in moisture and preventing water from evaporating.
The porosity of your hair must be taken into account
Depending on the porosity of your hair, reverse the order of products. The Liquid Oil Cream method is suitable for people with low porosity, as hair has difficulty absorbing and retaining moisture.
Whereas the Liquid Cream Oil method is better suited to highly porous hair, which absorbs products easily but is unable to retain them.
The 3 stages in applying the L.O.C. method:
1 - L: Spray your hair with water (not necessary if you've just shampooed).
2 - O: Apply a thin layer of yourfavorite oily macerate to maintain moisture.
3 - C: Apply your favorite whipped cream or butter to lock in moisture with a final, richer product. The aim is to seal in moisture, reinforcing sheathing by smoothing cuticle scales. Hair will be softer and shinier.
If your hair is extremely dry, just add the milk/care step to the spray as follows:
1: Moisturizing spray (water and macerate)
2: Milk or skincare as leave in
or
1: Spray
PS: Some of our customers have had very positive results by adding a few drops of their favorite milk to their spray bottle. Don't hesitate to give it a try!
